Prop firm challenge simulator

Fail the challenge
here. For free.

Replay real price history one minute at a time, under the rules prop firms use. Pass phase 1, then phase 2 on the same chart, then trade the funded account and take your profit split. Break a rule and the account closes at the price that broke it.

How it's judged

The same rules the firms use, checked on every price move rather than once at the end of the day.

Daily loss

5%per day

Equity, open trades included, can't fall 5% below where the day started. Touch the line and the account closes at that price.

Trailing max loss

6%trailing

On 1-step challenges the floor follows your best balance up until it reaches the starting balance. Give the gains back and you're out.

From phase 1 to payout

Choose the account size and the number of phases, then work through them on the same replay. Pass the last one and trade the funded account: same loss limits, no target, and your share of the profit paid out on payout days. Break a rule anywhere along the way and it's over, like the real thing.

What to work on

  • One day ended itThe daily loss limit closed the account. A personal stop at half the firm's daily limit means one bad day can't end a challenge.
  • Too much on one tradeYour largest trade risked 10.4% of the account. Most funded traders risk 0.5–1% per trade.
  • Sizing up after losses2 times you traded bigger right after a loss. Winning a loss back with size is how daily limits get hit.
  • Trades without a stop1 of 4 trades opened without a stop loss. One unprotected trade can take the whole daily limit.
  • Uneven position sizesRisk per trade ranged from 1.0% to 10.4%. The same risk on every trade keeps your losses predictable.

Questions

Is this real money?+

No. It's a simulator, so the first time you face the rules isn't the attempt you paid for.

How is this different from a demo account?+

A demo runs in real time and has no rules. Here the evaluation rules are enforced, a week takes minutes, and you don't know the date you're dropped into.

Do the rules match my firm?+

The presets follow the common 1-step and 2-step formats. Firms differ in the details, so check your firm's rulebook and set its exact numbers with Custom rules.

What happens when I pass?+

You go straight to the next phase on the same chart, from the same minute, with a fresh balance. Pass the last phase and you trade a funded account: same loss limits, no target, and your share of the profit (80% by default) paid out every 14 days, or weekly, or on demand. It's all simulated, so no real money changes hands.

Where do the prices come from?+

Historical 1-minute bid prices for each market, from January 2023 to last week. Ask is bid plus a typical spread.
